Course Description:
This course is a CAPM Preparation Study Guide. It reviews the basics of project management and preparation to attain Certified Associate in Project Management CAPM and be ready for the exam. Learners will learn the definitions, terminologies, knowledge areas, processes, tools, and techniques that are needed to execute a project from the initiating process to completion. This course covers project management standards and best practices to effectively manage a project from the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), which offers a reference, and a standardized approach to deliverables for any project Manager.

Course Objectives:
• Identify & use elements of the standard (PMI) project management framework to initiate a project
• Apply project initiation tools and techniques in order to describe the relationship between standard project management processes throughout a project lifecycle including project charter and stakeholder management strategy
• Understand how to develop a practical project management plan and d escribe the relationship between standard project management processes throughout a project lifecycle
• Understand how to perform the sequence of project steps to create project management deliverables including a project charter, scope statement, risk, WBS work breakdown structure, schedule, responsibility matrix, contract elements, and project changes.
• Learn the elements of the Project Management professional certification process.
• Demonstrate exam strategies in preparation for the CAPM certification exam
